Since 2012 Music for Relief has partnered with We Care Solar to send more than 200 solar suitcases to Africa and Haiti to light up health clinics without electricity and save lives. Earlier this week, a group of young people joined Music for Relief and Dr. Laura Stachel and Hal Aaronson, founders of We Care Solar to learn all about the Solar Suitcase, how it works and why it is needed parts of the developing world.
They even build their own Solar Suitcases as part of the We Share Solar Suitcase program. The finished suitcases will be deployed at the Zaatari Refugee camp in Jordan and will help young people who have been forced from their homes to learn, study and continue their education.
