On Wednesday April 19th, musicians, poker players, music executives and philanthropists gathered at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood for the second annual Music for Relief Poker Tournament to raise funds for Famine Relief in East Africa.
The result was a ridiculously fun night and upwards of $160K raised for people suffering from Famine in the Horn of Africa. Ramon Alvarez-Smikle won the night with his amazing poker skills, beating out a final table packed with friends and family of Music for Relief.
The event was hosted by Bill Silva Entertainment, Charity Network, Gelfand, Rennert, & Feldman, LLP, JP Morgan, Ken Hertz King Life Family, Linkin Park, Michael Oppenheim, Nederlander Concerts, Riot Games, Ryan Aviation Group Steve Aoki, Songkick, Tyler Barth, and Universal Music Publishing Group.
