INDONESIA EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI

On September 28th a powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian Island of Sulawesi, triggering a tsunami that hit coastal cities including Palu and Donggala. Indonesia’s National Agency for Disaster Management estimates that 2.4 million people were affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Homes have been destroyed, families are displaced, hospitals have been impacted as well as roads, airports and communication infrastructure making the response challenging. Music for Relief has launched an appeal to help children and their families during this crisis. We are partnering with humanitarian responders on the ground, International Medical Corps and UNICEF. Funds will support International Medical Corps in providing medical assistance, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and mental health and psychosocial support. UNICEF is working to reunite unaccompanied and separated children with their families, support infant and young child feeding, provide clean water through mobile water treatment, and help children recover. Please give to support those impacted in Indonesia.
