Music For Relief Marketing and Graphic Design Internship

Description

Music For Relief was founded by the band Linkin Park after the Indian Ocean tsunami struck South Asia in 2004 to aid survivors of natural disasters. In 2006 we expanded the scope of Music for Relief to include environmental restoration and protection as a means of disaster risk mitigation. Music for Relief is currently seeking marketing and graphic design interns who are available during the academic year or summer. The internship position is unpaid and interns are expected to be available twice a week for at least 4 hours each day. Academic credit is not required, but we are willing to offer it.

Marketing Intern Responsibilities

  • Weekly posts on social media (Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter)
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Write blog posts on Music for Relief page
  • Research new environmental developments
  • Assist with planning and organizing charity events such as concerts and live auctions

Graphic Design Intern Responsibilities

  • Projects will vary from print, product design, packaging, and web
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Ability to implement strategy to complete projects
  • Self starter

Marketing Intern Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in college and pursuing a BA/BS
  • Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • An interest in marketing, environmental restoration, and response to natural disasters
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills

 

 

Graphic Design Intern Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in college and studying graphic design
  • Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Passionate, curious, and collaborative
  • Must provide a link to an online portfolio
